American Cancer Society Bike-a-Thon Philadelphia

On Sunday, July 11th, our team will be riding bikes or volunteering along the route to fight cancer. This year marks the 38th year for the Annual American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon.

Since its beginning, Bike-a-thon has raised over $17 million for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy, and patient service programs.  The Bike-a-thon is a 66.2 mile ride from the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia to Buena Vista Camping Park in Buena, NJ.  In a special tribute, cancer survivors will lead riders over the Ben Franklin Bridge beginning the ride to save lives. Last year, 250 cancer survivors took part in Bike-a-thon.  The Bike-a-thon is the single largest biking event for the American Cancer Society. An anticipated 4,500 riders will participate in this year’s ride.
